Vasti and Charl

Vasti and Charl got married at the beautiful Netherwood wedding venue in Natal Midlands.
I loved being a part of Vasti and Charls wedding day and meeting them, and their family and friends, added to this.

Vasti and Charls wedding was a visual feast … there were shades of pastels, polka dots, stripes and checks - and origami birds and hearts hung from the trees. The tables were scattered with antique vases and teapots filled with pink and purple tulips, colourful roses and violet kale.
Heart shaped serviettes, little cookie jars, sweet boxes and “love” beaded in different languages was the theme for the tables. Glass vases and colourful fabric bunting hung from vintage sleepers, and fairy lights twinkled under mesh doilies. A Victorian inspired candy buffet, a ‘love is sweet’ photo booth and the lovely Charl with a tie that was polka dot pink.

I read a poem that could have been written for Vasti and Charls wedding -
(im sorry i dont know who to credit for this gorgeous poem)

I spy a little kiss and a great big hug
A handbag the colour of a ladybug
A white dress two shiny shoes
A shirt with stripes coloured pastel blue
Some fancy flowers
A bubbly drink
A dress and a tie with a polka dot pink
A sparkly diamond
A floaty gown
People dancing and twirling around
A man on a microphone
Two people holding hands
A pair of shining wedding bands.

To Vasti and Charl… may your marriage be as colourful and full of love as your wedding day.
Thank you for letting me share your beautiful day with you.

John Ellis

I have had the awesome opportunity of doing some work with, and getting to know the very talented John Ellis. I was so excited when Get it Magazine recently did a feature on John and used some of the photographs from our shoot.

Brett and Kathrin

The talented Kathrin Kidger, designer of R E I N E .. made my wedding dress for me two years ago.
It was during this amazing time in my life that i got to know the lovely Kath and so it was very special to be part of Kathrins day too.

When i arrived at Kathrins room on the day of the wedding to do “getting ready” photos - she was already dressed and beaming. Kathrin designed her own wedding dress and looked radiant.

At a magical beach ceremony, Brett and Kathrin made their vows to each other.
Dinner speeches and dancing followed at Zimbali country club.

Brett and Kathrin, i had loads of fun with you guys.
You make a beautiful team and i wish you a marriage full of happiness.

TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Dean and i just celebrated our two year wedding anniversary.
Time sure flies when you are having fun :)

We were so blessed with an amazing gift on our anniversary. Deans brother Tim, who has just started his own tour company (tim brown tours) organised a weekend for as at Phinda Game Reserve.
What an absolute treat this was.

Phinda was AMAZING!!! We were so spoilt!!
The setting is very special - we instantly felt relaxed.
We had perfect weather and the perfect weekend away.

We saw the big five on our first day….dean and i felt so lucky we like to refer to it as our Ferrari safari.
Mark Smith our ranger and Zakhele our tracker were amazing. We had lots of fun with them.
Not only were they so informative but they made our game drives real adventures.
we saw lion cubs and leopard, elephant at the watering hole, cheetah and her cubs, giraffe chomping on the thorny tree tops. It was so brilliant.

Thank you to Chantelle and Janet for all the warm smiles…
and to Matt for the amazing meals.

Everybodys Got The Fifa

Dean and I live about two minutes away from Moses Mabhida Stadium
Yesterday we took a walk down to capture some of the Switzerland vs Spain football fever.
The energy was AMAZING!!

Love the girl with the swiss flag on her pouting lips!!

Autumn

i love the change of seasons.

Winter in Durban is my favourite .. crisp mornings, blue skies and warm days.
I love Spring when the flowers bloom and the world comes back to life.
I love summer and the early sunrises
I love autumn when the afternoon light catches the leaves in the trees
and they look like they are on fire.

I had an excellent day with my mom in the midlands earlier this week.
We went to check out the new wedding venue Netherwood Estate.
Martha and Lisa are lovely.

Its worth your while to stop for a coffee and blueberry panckakes
at Lara and Lukes gorgeous coffee shop “BLUEBERRY” just next door.

Daniel and Cathy Wedding

Daniel and Cathy live in Dubai and celebrated their love at Woodridge Country Lodge, Kwa Zulu Natal.
We only got to meet Cathy and Daniel on their wedding day.
Daniel, friendly and calm and Cathys vivacious personality and warming smile
was a great introdution to this beautiful couple.

They flew to Taiwan a few days later for their Taipei wedding.
I wish i could have photographed this as well.

Thanks to my amazing husband Dean for assisting me.
