Sarah & Leon

Sarah and Leon made their vows to each other under the giant fig tree at tala game reserve. White hearts hung in the trees and the breeze caught the sweet scent of the white roses that decorated the chairs. Just before the start of the ceremony Sarah gave the minister the thumbs up, and as she walked down the aisle and the wind caught her veil, Leons eyes brimmed with tears and pride for his beautiful Sarah.

The wind picked up during their i-dos, and as the dark clouds rolled in, Sarah and Leon snuggled closer into each other. Stolen moments during the ceremony, reminded me again of the beauty of a boy who fell in love with a girl, the sacred vows that are made at the altar, and the gift of friends and family.

Sarah so petite, with her incredible bright green eyes, colourful personality and tight squeeze. And Leon, with his warm smile, so calming and kind, are a match made in heaven.

Elif & Chris

Dean and I were honored to fly to South of France to document Chris and Elif’s wedding day.
For almost a decade Chris parents have owned a holiday home in the gorgeous village of Caunes Minervois. This romantic Medieval village could not have been a more perfect setting for a wedding.

The couple are great music lovers and met by chance one evening, at a band Chris’ friend was promoting. Two years later chris proposed at the Glastonbury Music Festival.

After watching one of their favorite bands, Chris suggested they walk up to the viewpoint where they could look out over the twinkling lights of the festival. It was here that he asked the beautiful Elif to marry him. When Elif said yes he used the foil from his cigarette packet to fashion her a ring. The first people they told where some strangers that had camped next to them :)

Elif and Chris made their vows at the Marie village town hall. After the legalities and hugs and kisses, they led their friends and family through the steep cobbled streets to the 8th Century Abbey. They celebrated their marriage in the garden surrounding the abbey. Dinner tables were set under a vine covered courtyard, where guests were served dinner platters and croquembouche (a high cone of french pastries filled with cream and covered with threads of caramel and sugary almonds). After dinner and speeches, the music was cranked up and Chris and Elif danced with their friends under the star lit sky.
